I especially enjoyed the part where they’re trying to sell a 3,000lb car with 120hp as “fast”

Most of it’s growing on me, except for the front end.
Hopefully the rumors are true and Toyota has a better looking front end planned for the plug-in version (kinda like how the Hyundai Sonata and Sonata Hybrid look different up front).

I can see them being quick, but not fast.

it’s growing on me like a fungus, or maybe a third arm... Other than the Cali folks, Toyota design is really hit or miss...

The last one had a 0-60 of 10 seconds, and had 13 more hp while weighing exactly the same. I don’t have high hopes.

Horsepower isn’t everything with electric/hybrid car specs. It could have less horsepower, but maybe it reaches peak hp/torque quicker than the last gen.

No, but physics still apply. It could theoretically be less slow, but there’s just no possible way to make a 3,000lb car with 120hp not be glacially slow.
Also, according to Autoweek, it’s much of the same. Does sound like it handles better though, so that’s something.

The commercial was funny, at least.
Not sure how that one slipped my mind. Probably third place for best one this year.
